2 tablespoon of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder (typically it's made with baking soda, but I only had baking powder)
Add the sugar into a medium heated pan.
Remove the sugar from the heat as soon as everything is melted. Leaving it on for more time will cause it to burn.
Add baking powder and mix for just a few seconds. You'll see a really beautiful change in color and bubbling because of the formation of carbon dioxide.
Drop the mixture onto parchment paper. To prevent it from sticking, it might be helpful to coat the parchment paper with a thin layer of sugar or neutral oil.
Let it cool for 30 seconds before making any designs.
