Tea Eggs
Tea Eggs
Egg (4 or however many fits into your pot)
Tea leaves (3 tea bags, or 2 tablespoons of loose tea)
Salt (3 tsp)
You can use any type of tea you want. Black tea is normally used because it gives the egg a pretty color.
In a pot, add enough water to submerge the eggs.
Then add the salt and tea.
Boil for 10 minutes.
Add cracks to the egg to allow the brine to soak into the egg.
Let cool then transfer to container to refrigerate overnight.
