NIH Intern/College Food
NIH Intern/College Food
This recipe page is different because it’s just a collection of random convenient foods that I ate in college and as an intern at the NIH. I mixed and matched these foods together to form a new combination for each meal.
The most important piece of cookware I used was this steamer:
Steamed lentils with chicken broth
Steamed butternut squash with chicken broth
Roasted mixed nuts
Steamed black beans with chicken broth
Steamed chicken breast
Steamed salmon
Pan fried chicken breast with garlic powder and olive oil.
Pesto pasta
Brown rice steamed with sausage and frozen vegetables.
Hard boiled eggs
Pan fried eggs
Steamed potatoes with chicken broth
Chicken broth from Costco rotisserie chicken
Canned sardines
Trader Joe’s curries with additional frozen vegetables added
Steamed sausages
Boiled frozen dumplings
Pan fried tempeh
For sweet foods, I just ate yogurt and frozen fruits.
Here are pictures of how I combined these easy-to-make foods together to create my meals:
