Ginger and Scallion Oil
Ginger and Scallion Oil
1 cup of minced ginger
1 cup of chopped scallion
4 tablespoons of neutral flavor cooking oil (I use avocado oil or any leftover oil from deep frying)
Salt
Sesame oil
White pepper
Scaling down or up is no problem, it's just ideal to have 1:1 ratio of gingers to scallions.
I found the easiest way to make this recipe is with a microwave, but normally it's made in a pan.
Microwave directions
Add ginger, scallion, and neutral cooking oil in a microwavable container.
Make sure a lid is used to cover the container then microwave at heat heat for 2 minutes.
Then add salt, sesame oil, and white pepper to taste.
Pan directions
Heat the neutral cooking oil in a pan.
Then add the ginger and scallions and cook for 30 seconds.
Turn off heat and season to taste with salt, sesame oil, and white pepper.
