Avocado Milk
Avocado Milk
1/2 of a Hass avocado. I prefer to use unripe avocados for this recipe.
2 cups of cold whole milk
1 tablespoon of honey
Add all ingredients into a blender (I use magic bullet) and blend until the desired consistency. Because I like to use unripe avocados, it takes longer (3 pulses of 10 seconds) to blend into a smooth texture.
Refrigerate to get it colder and more refreshing.
The first time I had this drink was when I visited Taiwan. We visited a beverage shop owned by a family friend and I learned that my grandma's favorite drink from the shop is avocado milk. I tried the avocado milk and thought it was heaven. The avocados in Taiwan are a bit different from the Hass avocados in the US. The Taiwan avocados are less creamy and I think taste a bit sweeter. This is why my recipe here uses unripe avocados to try and imitate the harder and less creamy Taiwan avocados.
